The French writer Prosper Merimee gets a surprise visit by his fellow writers. To impress them, he tells them about his journey through Dalmatia. He explains the three-way relationship between Basil, his wife Jumeli and a stranger called Cara-Ali, but the romantic story isn’t quite the story that the writers expected.
